The Cricket World Cup has brought you to America and the Caribbean, but

what do you do after the match or on a day with no game? With most of the

tournament happening in the West Indies, it’s only fair to focus your holiday

there. Here is your guide to making the most of this trip! Here are seven

islands at your fingertips.

Dominica

Dominica is known for its vibrant

food culture, so if you’re in the

area and a fan of the Pirates

of the Caribbean, you must

go to the Cobra’s Bush Bar in

Portsmouth, where significant

scenes were filmed.

St Vincent and the Grenadines

For a relaxing day, relax on the

pristine beaches of Bequia, stroll

through the streets, and enjoy

the fresh seafood the locals

offer.

Trinidad & Tobago

Once in Trinidad & Tobago, it

would be best to visit the Caroni

Bird Sanctuary, famous for its

vibrant scarlet ibis. If not, take a

boat tour through the mangrove

forest and see hundreds of

beautiful birds returning to their

roots at sunset.

Barbados

In Barbados, go to the capital,

Bridgetown, and explore the

historical Garrison area. George

Washington

House and the

Barbados museums have to be

on your list.

Antigua & Barbuda

First, you must visit the Sir

Vivian Richards Stadium,

named after the legend

himself. But if you need a

break from cricket, explore the

historic naval base and admire

the colonial architecture

to learn about the island’s

maritime history.

St Lucia

St Lucia offers the Caribbean’s

only drive-in volcano, so the

Sulphur Springs are worth a

visit for a hot springs and mud

bath experience. St Lucia is

also the home of the current

head coach of the West Indian

team, Darren Sammy.

Guyana

When in Guyana, home

of legends including Clive

Lloyd and Carl Hooper,

you have to explore the

Kaieteur National Park.

The breathtaking views

of the Kaieteur Fall, the

world’s largest single-drop

waterfall, is worth the trek.
